Navy Sailor 

Shaniqua served her country as a United States Navy Salior for eight and one half years.  She quickly distinguished herself as a superb leader, mentor, and outstanding manager, truly concerned for the betterment of fellow sailors and civilian employees alike. 

Her meritourious service stemmed from October 1997 to April 2006.  Demonstrating diligence and extraordinary professionalism, she led saliors and civilians to meet increased demands imposed by senior officials.   Shaniqua's distintive accomplishments, unrelenting preseverance, and steadfast devotion to duty reflected great credit upon her and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service. 

Near the end of her last tour with the Navy Shaniqua came to what she believes was one of many crossroads in her life, one that would lead to the life changing desicion of leaving her military career behind in order to begin the quest for her life's true purpose.  Although this was a scary move with an undetermined destination, in hindsight she believes it was one of the best desicions she could have ever made.

A believer in destiny......As taken from her book Life, Experiences, Preparation, and Purpose, at the time of its creation she did not consider herself an “Author”.  Instead she thought of herself as a “Believer”.  She believed that writing books as well as other materials was the path she was led to.  She believed that things happen for a purpose on purpose.  Most importantly she believed in herself and her creator.  This was her beleif then and still is to this day, and her life’s work has just begun and still has quite a journey before completion.   Filled with enthusiasm, a longing for fulfillment, and a passion for helping others excel, she is a strong believer in destiny.  Through the use of books and other publications Shaniqua plans to encourage others to believe, believe that purposeful living is the key to a happy life filled with endless possibilities.  And finding and fulfilling purposes is what we all must do.
